Urbanscapes photography was established by Fionnuala O’Connor in 2007.
I specialise in photography of the built environment of Ireland, from contemporary architecture to the old stone walls of our towns and villages.
I started my career and still practice as an architect, and this influences the way I photograph buildings. I believe it is important to photograph a building’s architectural details as well as the whole in order to show not just how it looks, but how it works. Please contact me for a quotation for Architectural Photography.
The character of Ireland’s cities, towns and villages is immense and varied. I have set out to document this character and sense of place through the Urban Ireland Galleries. All of the images are for sale through the website, and many more are to come.
In 2007 I began documenting the character of local areas for EBS Ireland’s branches. This is an ongoing series and can be seen in the commercial galleries, and in real life at the EBS Branches listed.
I hope you enjoy this site and will continue to check in on it to see what is new!
